This book really bothered me. For one very simple reason. The supposed "hero" was not even close to it, and if I were Hannah I would have told him to eat my dust. When he decides to make a go of it with his first wife 30% into the book (because he couldn't get a divorce) he immediately decided it was worth it because and I quote:"he'd told Hannah he trusted God for them, but he was no longer certain, They'd been married two years. Shouldn't Hannah have conceived by now?... But a child he'd fathered himself was appealing, she (Margaret) could offer him something that Hannah couldn't - offspring of his own."
REALLY?!? He's so shallow that having kids makes giving up Hannah for Margaret ok?! Seriously? And right before he thought all that crap up he had JUST told Margaret that he loves Hannah. That ain't love to me. Ain't even close.
80% through the book he agrees to fully commit to his first wife and move into the house with her (even though he admits to himself that it makes him feel unfaithful to Hannah) so they can try to start having kids and says he felt a "Flicker of affection for Margaret" and a few chapters later:
"There was no place he could go that his love for Hannah wouldn't go with him"
And literally ONE paragraph LATER:
"*perhaps I'll have a daughter one day* he thought. The idea pleased him, with Margaret that would be possible...
He and Hannah would never have a child"
If I had know this about the book I would NOT have bought it, he basically says that he can live with throwing Hannah away because Margaret can have kids. I read this boom at least 3 times resign to figure out how on earth it was supposed to make sense. I can honestly say this is my least favorite book I've ever read.

Great ending to a great series
It was a great surprise. A bit more vivid in context then what I would normally read. It was a really good story
I have to say i was a little disappointed at this book compared to the other two written i hope that there is a 4th book so we know how these two people ended up, and i felt it dragged out, it was still agood book and i love the author, just a bit disappoited that i drag out for so long and the ending left you in the air!
I just finished this complete series..and cannot think of when I have enjoyed three books in a row as much as these. They were all well written, moved from one book to the next with smoothness. Not the normal repetition in each book..just moved right into the story, and told it with great talent. Characters were all well developed, and had substance. FINE writing..talented author.
great

Kept you interested to see what was next. When you thought things just couldn’t get any worse something popped up.
